I don’t often talk about Makeup on here. Mostly because half the time I have no clue what I’m even doing with it, I just copy other people and hope it looks good on me. However, I recently picked up the Makeup Revolution ‘Love The Revolution’ and I’m a little bit in love, so I thought I’d do a lil’ review for you all and share my thoughts!
Personally, I’m not a massive fan of the packaging, compared to the heavier black Revolution palettes I have, this one feels kind of cheap, but for £4 I can’t really complain, and it’s what’s inside that counts anyway!
As for the colours, they’re beautiful. There are four slightly shimmery tones in a light neutral brown colour, a vibrant pinky red, a very light yellowy gold and a more dark brown shade. Then there are two more obviously shimmery shades in a gorgeous copper tone and a super pretty pink. In the middle, there is a very generously sized lilac/silver toned highlighter that is gorgeous and so bright. I absolutely love them all!
I’m literally obsessed with the way they swatch and even more with how they apply. I haven’t had the chance to try all the colours yet as I only bought this a couple of days ago, but I did try out the red shade and the highlighter yesterday to do a basic look to go out shopping and I absolutely adore it!
As you can probably tell I’m not the best at makeup but I tried and I did feel super glam just to go shopping for holiday toiletries!
For £4 you really can’t go wrong with this palette. I feel like the possibilities are endless with this palette of colours depending on which way you combine them and they’re super autumnal, which makes me incredibly happy. Even if I did buy this palette to take to Corfu with me next week!
