Things To Do|London

If you know me personally or read this blog regularly, you’re probably no stranger to the fact that I spend A LOT of time in London. Since visiting the city for the first time in 2013, I have been to London more times than I can count, and I’m due to go back again next week. So, I thought, what better post to do than a list of things that – in my opinion – you MUST do if you find yourself in London!

Leicester Square
Leicester Square is one of my Favourite Places in London. It is right in the heart of the West End, it is always buzzing with life, people and music, and it is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat or a coffee to break up your day! If you’re into Movies, there is usually a movie premiere happening in the square, or, if big crowds aren’t your thing, there are 3 cinemas to choose from where you can catch a quiet movie away from all the hustle and bustle.

Winter Wonderland
This is a seasonal one, but if you’re around London at Christmas you HAVE to take a day to visit Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. It happens every year throughout the whole of the Winter/Christmas period and it is free to all. There are obviously things to spend your money on once you’re inside, but you don’t have to spend anything if you don’t want to, it’s such a magical place that you can enjoy it just as much on a budget!

The Theatre Cafe
If you read my “The Theatre Cafe|London” post, you will be aware of how much I love this place. It’s my absolute favourite place to go in London, and I can honestly say if you’re a theatre fan, it will fast become one of your own favourite places too! You can play showtunes, sing along, eat, drink and even buy show tickets for discount prices – what more could you possibly want?

St James’ Park
Parks may not be your thing, but if they are, or if you just want an hour or so in tranquility instead of the mad rush of the city, St James’ Park is one of the best places you could go. It is just in front of Buckingham Palace, is home to loads of wildlife, and is such a peaceful, beautiful place to escape to for a while. All of London’s parks are beautiful, but this one is by far my favourite of the ones I’ve visited!

Oxford Street Disney Store
As a massive Disney fan, the Disney store is one of my favourite places in the world. I have three that are local to me, and I love all of them. However, the one on Oxford Street is one of my favourite ones I’ve ever been to. It’s so cute and has a bit of extra charm to what most of the stores have. It is definitely a must see if you’re a Disney fan!

Theatre
This one is very vague, as there are SOOOO many shows available to see on the West End, but visiting the theatre whilst in London is one of the best things on offer! It’s one of my favourite things to do, there is something for everyone to see and it definitely is one of the most iconic parts of London culture, so why not be a part of it? There are so many places in London to get tickets cheap if you’re on a budget too, so there really is no excuse!

West End Live
Staying on the subject of theatre. If you perhaps can’t afford to see a show on the West End, every summer for one weekend in Trafalgar Square, West End Live happens, where you get the opportunity to see many different shows that are on in the West End. The best part of this weekend? IT’S ALL FREE! I went for the first time this year after wanting to go for so long, and I can definitely say it will be becoming an annual thing from now on. Read my post about that weekend HERE!

There are so many other things I love to do when I’m in London, but I’d be here all day if I tried to talk about them all. I hope you enjoyed reading some of my ultimate favourites.

Have you been to London? What are some of your favourite things to do there? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time.
