10 Unexpected Reasons to Love Target  (Over Walmart) We all know you can get everything you need and more at both Target and Walmart, so how do you choose which store to shop? 

Here is my top 10 list of reasons to shop Target over Walmart (although both are great for deals!)

 1. A Target Trip is Like a Treasure Hut 

Visiting Target is like a fun treasure hunt always discover something new and strolling the aisles is fun! All those colors and beautiful things calling my name. 

2. Best $1 Bin Around 

If you've been to a Target lately you know about the section at the front with  $1 bin items. Some are actually a bit more than a $ but most are under $5. Here you can find awesome craft items, trendy decor, kids toys, office supplies, small art pieces, planters and so much more! Way better quality than a traditional store and all with great design. 

Walmart has great prices but last I visited I didn't see a Specific Deal Bin, the deals are spread around the store. 

3. Target House Brands are Where it is At 

Target has a whole range of house brands and once you find your favorites you won't every want to go back to big name brands. From groceries to clothing and home goods these products are not only designed to be visually beautifully they are also pretty good quality for the price. 

4. Collabs with Cool Designers 

A big part of the Target experience is the excitement that comes with a Target Collab, but watch out they do sell out really fast! My current obsessions is with the Opalhouse/Justina Blakeney Jugalow collection. So many awesome home and garden decor pieces.

5.  Target marketing

This might seem like an odd reason to love Target but seriously the TV and print ads just make me smile and feel happy. Also I love that they have really embraced inclusivity and are supporting Black Entrepreneurs, Environmental issues,  LGBQ and more timely issues head-on. This is one area where Walmart is clearly lacking.

We all love a good rewards program and Target has really hit the bullseye with the Target Circle Rewards. You get points and discounts every time you  shop  online and in-store. All you need to do is link to your phone number or online account to get credit for each purchase.

Target offers some great incentives when you sign-up so if you are planning a big shopping trip or have some large items in mind like furniture this would be a good time to get the card and earn some cash back!

Those of you who live in a big city will understand what a big deal this is. Now Target has opened up smaller footprint stores stocked with bestsellers and everything you need for city living. Near most downtown office work areas a quick trip on your lunch break to a City Target will not only save you time but also save you spending weekends driving out to the suburbs or worrying about how all your packages will get delivered to your apartment.

Walmart 

In comparison, Walmart has many similar things but they do it the Walmart way which is also good but just not as fun as Target.

• Walmart has everything I could ever need but shopping the store just doesn't feel joyful or fun.
• Deals everyday, I don't know of a specific deal bin or section of the store. 
• Walmart also has a Credit Card offer with Capital One that gives 5% off your first purchase. 
• Online shopping at Walmart.com is easy and they do offer both layaway and in-store pick-up options.
• Food courts are getting bigger in Walmart stores which is good for days when you don't feel like cooking. 
• Walmart also has some design collabs but they don't draw the attention or sell-out factor of Target's partnerships.
• Walmart grocery section is huge and great for stocking up the pantry or hosting an event.
