What topics SBI give for actual GD?

SBI is good in conducting good GD. One of the Topic was “Some rituals and customs are keeping India backward and some individuals and organizations are taking undue advantage of it”. Another topic was “Feminism”. One of our follower said that his group got the topic “Women Empowerment”. Another candidate faced subject “Is remixing good for Indian music?”
What to do during GD?

  • Try to initiate the GD in both rounds.
  • Speak only relevant points.
  • Good 8-9points are sufficient to impress board members.
  • Maintain eye contact with other members.
  • Be confident and give clarity.
  • In SBI PO the GD is conducted across different lines.

(i) Batches are made of around 10 candidates each.
(ii) A common topic is floated across the candidates by the panel.
(iii) All the candidates are provided with initial 5 minutes to plan and jot down their points on a paper.
(iv) After the completion of 5 minutes, the house is made open for the candidates to speak.
(v) Each candidate is first of all allowed to speak for a particular time say 5mins. The time for

(vi) The time for the presentation of individual ideas is restricted and during the course of entire
individual activity, the bell rung by the panel two times.
(vii) One is rung exactly in the middle and other at the completion of the time.
(viii) After all, the candidates have spoken upon the topic the house is left open for the candidates to discuss the topic among themselves. The mode of conduction of GD is Ex tempo followed by Discussion. The most important fact of the entire exercise is that during the Ex tempo phase any candidate can start the discussion and it is not necessary to follow the numerical protocol.

Note: Here the candidates have an opportunity to present their views either in English or in Hindi but a candidate cannot make use of the Hinglish during the GD.

The panel also advises them to prevent the house from becoming a fish market so that the entire exercise can be conducted in a healthy and conducive environment. At last We know! Interviews have never been a cakewalk. Neither for us and we assume nor for you too. The poker faced interviewers, the pin drop silence of conference rooms, the suited candidates,
fidgeting legs in the waiting room, the very thought of a job interview makes me nervous. Read on to let go off this fear of being impressive in interviews and bag your next job effortlessly.
