#FiancéFriday

04|18|16: The Meeting.
Location: Top Golf. Gilbert, AZ

I am an absolute introvert. I am the type of girl who turns down drinking, mall trips, lunch dates. etc etc. But lucky for Connor (and me) I gave in to my bestfriend's, Brook's, pleas to going out. Her boyfriend, Travis, was inviting a bunch of his friends and Brook didn't want to tag along with a bunch of boys. I waited for her to come pick me up she started bombarding me with texts. They were a long the lines of: "You better look pretty. There's a hot guy coming." I laughed the texts off because I had already met Travis' friends and because her and I have completely different taste! So when they picked me up I obviously scoped out the car and sure enough there wasn't a hot looking guy. I gave her the stink eye and she told me that the "hot guy" had gone in the other vehicle.

By the time we pulled up to Top Golf, I was over the night.  But as we're walking through the parking lot, I finally saw the "hot" guy. I'm going to remove the quotation marks now because he is absolutely the hot guy. He stood 6ft tall with dirty blonde hair.  No one introduced us. So I kind of just stuck by Brook's side (yes I'm an awkward human). Top Golf was super packed so we put our name on the waiting list and went to Blue 42.  We all sat down and Connor and I Ended up across from each other. I don't think we exchanged many words. But he did let me have his drink since mine was disgusting! His friends kept making dirty jokes and he kept looking at me and laughing because most of the jokes completely went over my head. Then we moved on to Top Golf. By this time I was a little bit tipsy. It was the first time that Brook and I had been over 21 together and drinking. Plus I weighed about 90lbs so I was a major light weight.
Connor and I ended up next to each other again and we made small talk. He told me he was from Scotland and I moved the conversation to football. I think this is when I started brainwashing him to like the Patriots...
Anyway, the night went on and I struggled to play Top Golf but I really enjoyed his conversation and his face.
The night definitely ended too soon for me, but lucky for me he asked for my number before we parted ways.
As he was saying bye and turning to leave he turned back around and kissed me! Yes, on the first night we met. Usually I would be offended, but it just felt right.. Not even an hour of being apart he texted me to assure I had given him the right number and to apologize for kissing me. I accepted his apology (because I enjoyed it, but don't tell him that). I went to sleep on cloud nine that night. There was just something about him that compelled me to start a journal to document our first night together.

Next Week on #FianceFriday: Our first date.
