How To: Make-Up Brush Cleaner

Okay this craft was easy and painless! I saw it on Pinterest and decided to try it myself. The original craft was done on a clip board, but since Safeway doesn't carry clip boards I had to settle for a ruler (which ended up working out perfectly)
Supply List:
  • Ruler
  • Spray Paint
  • Glue Gun
  • Hot Glue Sticks
Step x Step
  1. Spray Paint Ruler and Let Dry
  2. Once it's dry. Start hot glue-ing designs on the ruler. Yes, it's that simple. Put some zig-zags, dots, straight lines, etc.
  3. Let it dry and spray paint again!
You're all done!

DIY: FALL SIGN

I would love to sit here and say that this was a fun and easy project, but I ran in to some trouble because I am not a planner. But lucky for you guys, I can tell you all my mistakes and you can avoid them! So I really wanted to make a sign out of a wooden pallet just like I saw on Pinterest. But I failed to purchase the correct wooden sign. The one I wanted was supposed to have zero spaces in between the pallets so I didn't have to limit the size of my writing, but I made it work eventually.
Supply List:
  • Wooden Pallet (Target)
  • Brown Spray Paint (Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Etc)
  • Decorative leaves (Amazon (I got mine from my mom's closet, shhh))
  • Ribbon (JoAnn's)
  • Paint Markers (fail, in my case)
  • Chalk Marker (perfect!)
  • Glue Gun
  • Hot Glue Sticks
Step x Step:
  1. Find a cardboard box that you can spread out underneath your wooden pallet
  2. Spray Paint your wooden pallet.
  3. Let Dry (Go watch some football or something)
  4. Once dry, play with decorative leaves until you decide where you like them and hot glue them done.
  5. Play with ribbon and see if you like it, I thought it pulled everything together and went for it on the top and bottom.
  6. Okay, I tried stencils, a gold paint marker, and acrylic pain and NOTHING was good enough for my OCD when it comes to writing. So I said "screw it" and tried out my chalk pen that I used for our engagement dinner and it took one try and I loved it! And so did my mom and she's the one who gets to keep it!
