Somehow I am always Surprised by the sudden good weather in September. Though I’ve always lived here I haven’t spent many Augusts in England in my life, but the ones I’ve seen have been invariably rainy. September is my favourite month. It is such a great time for change and the beginning of new things; maybe because it’s the new academic year, maybe because it’s the equinox (which is when I was born, so is fittingly the meeting point in the ouroboros of my own life’s cycle), but somehow it just feels new.
