THE PLOT IN BRIEF-
Neil met Avani-the girl who saved him from committing suicide few years back. Soon they were connected through Facebook. On day one, she revealed her plan to leave India for higher studies. But still their conversation continued. He told her about his college life while she talked about her friends. One day, he surprised her by dropping to her place and professing his love. What will Avani do now?
THE TITLE-
Indeed, the title is nostalgic filled with emotions and relations. The title defines Freedom greatly as if College life is different, entirely different like you don’t have to get ready and wear that red and crisp blue school uniform and look alike every day. Free to define ourselves with statement attire.
Yes, the title also gives us a hit of the underlining romance. It’s like They were from two different worlds. Two entirely different people. But upon their coming together, they created- they found- their own path and together they had their own world and in their own world, they were the same. Everyone else outside of it- everyone else was over there. Away. And they together- they together were here. They were right here. They were the same.
The title is apt and perfect.
REVIEW OF THE BOOK-
The book portrays four basic emotions keeping college life in the background, Friendship being the first aspect. When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.
The next aspect being demonstrated was Distance amalgamating with emotion. “Friendship is just a made up word that we think means: I know you and trust you more than the average person I know. It really means: somewhere in the creation of our destinies we were meant to be the missing piece of each other with a bind unequalled to anything else in the world. We were meant to stay together no matter the physical distance. As long as we can both look up at the night sky and see the same moon we’ll always have each other in sight.
The third is Love. The book beautifully describes Love as patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
People think a Soul Mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave. A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master.
