The plot beautifully describes the idea of love and friendship keeping the contemporary India at the backdrop. The author had beautifully crafted the characters playing with all the emotions throughout the book. Anurabh, Nilanjana and Vikram together prove that Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.
The cover is very beautiful along with the narration. Sometimes, all we need is just one person who believes in us and who will never give up on us. Someone who sees beyond our weaknesses, beyond our faults. Who knows that though we walk in darkness, we can still find our way into the light?
And that’s how it’s meant to be.
