Fast forward 24hrs, the sun is ridiculously hot, we have just had breakfast in the garden, the paddling pool which cost me £4 in the sale at Asda last year is filling. He has his bather ready to go. For Lunch we are making burgers from a pack of mince I have had lying in the freezer. I just need to go to buy some rolls 50p for six, a water pistol 99p and some lollipops, £1.20 for eight. Happy days, we plan to spend the evening looking for satellites and the family of bats that like to fly around at dusk. He is so much more excited about today. So there you have it one complete family day for less than a tenner, and judging by the amount of splashing that has already started a much  happier son.
