1. A horses brain weighs 22 ounces.
2. In 2003, a mare was cloned in Italy. It is the first ever cloned horse and it was a haflinger.
3. Horses only like SWEET tastes. They will reject anything bitter or sour.
4. Horses cannot vomit. They do not have a gag reflex in their stomach, without that reflex, vomiting is not possible.
5. Horses cannot get frostbite on their legs; a protective mechanism stops that from happening. Horses can sit in icy water or snow without a problem.
6. A horse's heart weighs 10 pounds.
7. Horses love classical music. It can soothe any agitated horse!
8. Horse intestines can grow to be 89 feet long.
9. Horses cannot breathe their mouths.
10. Secretariat's record has not been beaten ever.
