Navratri And The Significance Of Fifth and Sixth Day-

Celebrating the nine days of Navratri has its own significance and importance. People use to worship different avatars of ‘Maa Durga’ on these days, but worshiping the goddess according to the particular day is very important, which will give their own benefits to the worshipper.
Within those nine avtars of Maa Durga, every avtars has its own meaning and faculties.
On the 5th and 6th day of Navratri Maa Skanda and Maa Katyayani is worshiped.
Both the goddess has their own faculties and powers inside them.
According to her avatar, there lies a reason from which Maa Durga had taken nine avtars, and each avtar has their own story.
The Fifth Day Of Navratri-
The fifth day of navratri is dedicated to Maa Skanda. Skandamata is the mother of skand (kartikeya). She rides on a vicious lion having four arms and holding a baby in her hands. Being the mother of skanda, she was named as Skandamata. When her child was encountered with danger, she was transformed as strength for him, to fight with the danger with symbol of grey color.
Benefits of worshipping Skandamata-
It is believed that she is the mother of skanda (kartikeya), that’s why her linseed medicine provides cure to the children in many ways.
– Children who are born with the problem of vata, pitta and kapha are cured by taking her linseed medicine.
– People who worship this avatar, can overcome form their troubles easily. They can bring positive changes in their life by getting rid from their life troubles.

The sixth day of navratri-
The sixth day of navratri is very scared. On the six of navratri, the sixth avtar of Maa Durga is worshipped that is mata Katyayani. Katyayani mata is the most worshipped form of Maa Durga, who is considered as symbol of destroyer of evil. She was born as a daughter of sage (maharishi) Katyayan of katya gotra, that why her name is Katyayani. She has for hands, she holds the long sword and a lotus in her two hands, gives blessings from the third hand and uses her forth hand to protect us. She was born as a fighter.
Benefits Of Worshipping Mata Katyayani
– As a fighter she always protect us, from the evil and give confidence and power.
– Worshipping her brings religion, artha, kama and moksha to the worshipper.
