How To Find Easy Keywords: Work Out How Competitive a Keyword is
What Will You Learn with This Article?
On this blog post, I am going to show you how to find easy keywords and also how I personally work out how competitive a keyword is in Google.
If you focus on easy keywords, then your website will rank faster in Google and you will get Google traffic faster.
To use my method, you need to get just 2 things: Jaaxy and Moz bar. They are totally free with no catches. If you get them now, you can follow along with my step-by-step guide on how to find how competitive a keyword is.
You can download the Mozbar tool here: Moz SEO Toolbar. This is a Google Chrome/Firefox extension.
On the other hand, Jaaxy is an online keyword tool, so you can go to www.Jaaxy.com and create a Free account.
So, How to Use Jaaxy and Moz to Find Low Competitive Easy Keywords?
Step 1 – Login into www.Jaaxy.com
Step 2 – Next, do your keyword research and pay close attention to “QSR” and “Avg” as shown in figure below:
What the hell is QSR? Well, let me give you a very brief explanation. QSR stands for Quoted Search Results, in other words, it shows how many pages are targeting the specific keyword we are after. So, we will look for the lowest QSR possible with at least 50 monthly searches (Shown in column “Avg.”).
On this example, we will target the keyword: “how to choose the right golf clubs”. So, if you take a look at the image above, you will see that we have at least 2 potential low competitive keywords: “how to choose the right golf clubs” and “how to choose the right golf ball for my game” (which is a variation Jaaxy suggests). So, next thing we will do is look how tough will be our competition for those terms.
Step 3 – Go to Google, type your search term and activate the Moz toolbar.
Check out the 3 first pages ranking for this keyword:
Looking good right? Now lets check out the next ones…
See now? It’s not complicated to find low competitive keywords. You just need to set aside some time to do the right research. You can replicate this exact formula into your business and you will see how traffic starts to increase day after day.

Should I Go After Difficult Keywords?
Sometimes it can be tempting to go after a difficult keyword because it might get a lot of searches, or it might be very valuable.
The problem with going after difficult keywords is that it is very hard to rank for them.
I would only suggest going after medium or difficult keywords if you have a lot of experience in SEO and building links (DoFollow Backlinks). And, besides this, your website should be relevant to search engines too.
If you don’t have a lot of experience, I suggest going after easy keywords.
Medium-difficult keywords require a lot of work. You will probably invest more money trying to rank for it than seeing actual profits.
So, my recommendation is to go through the step-by-step guide I illustrated above. You will rank faster for easier keywords, and you will make money faster.
How Can I Make Money From Easy Keywords?
There are lots of ways to make money targeting easy keywords:
