For better or for worse for India with the ban of Rs 500 and Rs 1000

Corruption, black money and terrorism are one of the Biggest every country faces. One of the biggest victims of all the three has been India. Will ever stop? Nobody can say, but we can sure try. Speaking of trying, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went live on national television and said that he is going to bring in some of the biggest changes the world would never have thought of in their wildest dreams.

He began his speech with stating some of the most regular mundane changes that he would bring in.   There were a million things mentioned and then, all of a sudden, he hit the nation with the biggest news ever. This statement or news left the nation speechless for a couple of minutes.  It took the nation a couple of minutes to realise that their very own Prime Minister was serious.  You must be wondering what the piece of news is, well, he announced that from 8th Nov midnight, 9th Nov, early morning, Rs 500 and Rs 1000 will no longer have any value. He went on to announce that they will continue to be banned in India for a very long time.  Instead of these notes, he said, Rs 2000 will be provided to serve people and new Rs 500 will be provided soon.

Well, we all know that our Prime Minister does have his reasons for banning such notes.   Modi knew that the nation may not digest the ban of these notes too well, nevertheless, he said that India is a well-developed country. He feels that as they are moving forward, they are becoming leaders and the best in sectors like corruption and black money.  He felt that these are things that should be put to an end. I have one question for you Mr Prime Minister of India, what about rape, molestation, safety of the people of the nation? Did you forget all about these things?

He  claims that terror groups are being funded by false currency and so-called ‘dodgy funds’.He wants to destroy them.Well, ok, go ahead and control them while we try to go and break our heads against the wall.  So, now what do we do?  There has to be a solution, right?  Of course, there is.  With the ban of these notes, for the next 50 days, till the 30th of Dec, all the old note can be deposited and exchanged at the banks and post offices. With the next 72 hours, that is until 11th  of Nov, all the government hospitals can take all the old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. There will be no change in any other form of currency which includes cheques, DD, payment through credit or debit cards or online payments.

There you go, that is your solution right in front of you. Are you ready to accept the change or are you still confused or rather lost about what is going to happen?Don’t worry, take a deep breath and accept the change.
