Danyel Replacing
"Danyel, my trusted servant, come in," says the great goblin King.
"Yes sire," answers the fallen angel Danyel. His wings folded behind his back, one overlapping the other. Drops of light drip down from his halo, hanging above him.
"I have sent the first fallen on an important mission," continues the king, "during that time, I will need you to oversee our mining operations on the planetary system of the Purpea star."
"Your wish is my command, your highness," answers Danyel obediently.
"The queen has a great interest in ensuring the mining of their opal spice continues unimpeded as has been the case with the first fallen," the king explains.
"Did Lucifer's men stay behind or did they leave with him?" Danyel asks.
"Some of his servants are there now, but most of the dark army stationed there joined his battalion on the quest he was sent on," the king answers, "but there a number of witches and goblins mixed in with the slaves of the habitable planet."
"And the citizens?" Danyel asks.
"There are no citizens in the Purpea system. We just conquered them two years ago."
"I see," interrupts Danyel.
"The witches and goblins are turning slaves into apprentices as they see fit," continues the king, "but our concern is the mining of spice, which is rich in all of the planets in that system."
"Then goblin law is in effect already?" Danyel asks.
"Yes my trusted servant," the king responds, "I want you there to continue Lucifer's work. Quell any uprisings, keep the slaves fed and entertained, let the witchcraft run its course, and most importantly, mine the spice without delay."
"I understand, your highness," Danyel says, "I will gather my heavenly troops to serve as your arms in your absence in Purpea."
"Thank you Danyel," the king replies.
"Who is in charge there now? Who will I be relieving of command upon my arrival?" Danyel asks.
"I will have to double check with the queen," responds the king, "but I believe Lucifer left an elderly wizard named Maldrake in charge before he was summoned to this court."
"Then I will seek out Maldrake and take over all operations in that district," Danyel says obediently.
"Very good my soldier," responds the king.
"Sire?" Danyel asks, "do I need to concern myself with the possible presence of zen in the system?"
"I haven't heard anything," answers the king, "but still, I think it's best you stay on your toes. We can't have any zen masters interfering with our operations."
"Then goblin law is already in effect and they are part of the empire. When do we leave?" Danyel asks.
"Yes, the empire has established law. Let no zen master shine light where darkness has already been established," answers the king, "let the darkness prevail."
"My battalion and I will leave before day break. Let no light shine on the Purpea system without my knowledge. The darkness will prevail!"
