I hope everyone is aware when is Independence Day 2016? It’s on coming 15th August. So what is special about this year’s Independence Day? We are touching the number 70 years this time.
This year, our honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will launch a new programme called ’70 Saal Azadi – Zara Yaad Karo Kurbani’ (70 years of independence: Do recall the sacrifices). The program will be launched on August 9th, few days prior to Independence Day.
Why This ’70 Saal Azadi – Zara Yaad Karo Kurbani’?
Personally I admire Mr. Modi for his various initiatives & Govt Schemes launched in last few years. Especially schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Account, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna etc.
This time there is a new reason to feel the independence by launching this programme called ‘70 Saal Azadi – Zara Yaad Karo Kurbani‘. The purpose of this launch is to develop a feeling in every person that nation is first and individual is secondary.
Today’s new generation may not be much aware about the sacrifices of many Indian to bring this independence 70 years back. I have read many stories of those brave people since my childhood.
This program will start on 9th August 2016 and will continue till 15th August, Independence Day 2016. A week-long “Tiranga Yatra” to evoke nationalism and patriotism will also be undertaken from August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day, Mr. Modi said.
What is 70 Saal Azadi or 70 years of independence mean to you?
When I read about the struggle of that period, I feel how much lucky we are right now. Although we have many issues like un-employment, corruption, in-equality, poverty and many things but this is a different struggle compared to that.
