3 signs that you need a weed Detox! Here’s how you go about it…

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag? If yes, then you need to Detox.

Marijuana is a Magical and safe herb that grows freely in nature.

This line is absolutely true and is probably the most common explanation given out by stoners. Maybe because we truly believe this to be a fact. While marijuana is magical, safe and fun, it is often overlooked that one can easily overdose(non-lethally) on it. The lack of long term damage or discomfort reduces our restraint while enjoying the herb.

Newbie stoners do not need to detox, simply because they can never Smoke more than a joint a day. That is an acceptable amount, especially because it doesn’t suddenly increase your tolerance does not have a long term effect on your appetite.

Smoking One J per Day gives you a mind blowing high every single day. Also it does not give you a Weed hangover, also known as an after-burn. The extremely lethargic feeling that you get in the morning after a high powered smoking sesh last night.

Building a tolerance to the herb makes you smoke more joints or weed per day, leading a further tolerance buildup. There is only so much THC that our brains can hold. Much like a bowl, adding more THC will only result in spillage, not retention.

Moreover, being stoned all the time does sound fun but it really takes the kick out of smoking a fat ass J and getting blitzed out of your mind after a long day at work.

There are many signs that would suggest to you that your weed consumption is rocketing, but the following three are like red alerts that should be heeded extremely seriously.

  1. AFTER-BURN :  As mentioned above, after-burn is a sure shot sign that you are smoking too much weed. The feeling of being completely clueless as to whats going on, feeling stoned, everything is blurry and sometimes we don’t even know whats coming out of our own mouths. Why does it happen? You ask. Well, as we all know, THC is stored in the fat reserves of our body. So when we smoke too much weed the night before and wake up before all of it is completely consumed, that is when the remaining THC gets metabolized and you feel stoned-over.
  2. BREATHLESSNESS OR COUGH : Okay, smoking is bad for health, that’s common sense. Even more so when we use a makeshift roach tip for our joints. The tip allows the small burning particulates to enter our airway and damage it. At the time of lighting up a joint, the filter tip let’s through particles as hot as fire itself. So, when one smokes ALOT, they are also damaging their lungs alot, resulting in accumulation of that gooey thing that we never like to see, phlegm. Also, coughing is very uncool, be it at work or a party. It’s okay when you hit a joint real hard, though.
  3. TOLERANCE LEVEL : FOREVER STONED : Believe it or not, it is possible to smoke so much weed that you experience a constant state of stonedness. Such is the high that, smoking a Bob Marley joint hits you as long as you are smoking one. Since we cannot OD on weed, we tend to smoke a lot, building our tolerance with every blunt we light. It is possible to stop getting high if you smoke a lot of weed. That is one tolerance I never want to build.

Marijuana Overdose is as unlikely as floods in deserts. They happen when someone get’s a real bad idea.

Smoking marijuana in moderation is a sure shot way to enjoy its high for the longest amount of time. Even if you have built a tolerance for Mary Jane, fear not cause all you need to do is put some space between you two.

As mentioned before, THC is stored in your fat cells so to completely get rid of the compound from the Body, all of the reserves need to be consumed. Naturally it can take a person upto 3 months to detox completely, depending upon one’s body type. There is hope still. One can speed up the process by increasing one’s metabolism and other such natural means.

Here are a few ways to speed up your Detox.

  • Exercise Regularly : This is one way to quickly consume your existing THC rich fat reserves with new ones.
  • Eat right Food : One naturally needs to avoid fatty foods and increase fiber and anti-oxidant rich foods in their natural diet.
  • Drink a lot of water and sweat it out : That is probably the most common and generic way to detox any sort of a toxin from your body.

All in all, if you smoke weed, you should listen to your body. It is a lot easier for stoners just as it is easy for those who meditate. Enjoy the herb and make sure you control the high from spoiling your health. After all a healthy body is home to a healthy mind.
