On The Go Outfits

What are on the go Outfits, you ask? These are the outfits that I put on when I’m in a rush and when my mind is buzzing with a million other things. The outfits I wear on days when I have zero energy and so I put zero effort into the outfits because I know they’ll work. The outfits I usually wear when I go to school because I’m always in a rush when I’m going to school. The outfits you’ll probably see me in 85% of the time because I am by nature, a person who is late, and so to avoid being late, I lessen the time spent on deciding what to wear. My on the go outfits usually consist of a Skirt or a dress, so when you see me in a skirt or a dress, know that I probably did not prepare my clothes the night before like I should have.

Okay, so let’s talk about dresses first. I strongly believe that wearing a dress is the easiest and most convenient way to look stylish. It is so effortless and fast. With dresses, you just put it on, pick your shoes, and voila you’re done. You don’t have to think about if the pieces complement each other, because there’s only one piece! Of course, if want to add some oomph to your outfit, you could add accessories, a scarf, outerwear, or if your dress is sleeveless, wear a shirt under it which is so on trend right now. It doesn’t get boring with dresses too because there are so many styles to choose from. You don’t have to worry about always having just one look because you can dress up dresses in so many different ways. You can choose to look chic or edgy or sporty, all with one article of clothing!

For this particular look, you may have already seen this outfit in my post about ways to stay fashionably warm, but I still decided to include it here because it puts a spin on the classic little black dress that can never go wrong! Since it is a jumper dress, I can dress it up in different ways. I could wear a simple shirt with it, or a crop top, or tank top, or a button down shirt. The possibilities are endless!

For skirts, I am definitely a fan of all styles of skirts. Although, on regular days, you’ll most likely see me in short skirts, since wearing maxi skirts isn’t exactly school friendly since we have to walk from building to building to get to our different classes. My favorite styles are the circle skirt, aka the skater skirt, the a-line skirt, and the pencil skirt. With the right skirts in your closet, you could easily pair any top with it and look effortlessly stylish.

In this particular look I paired my white a-line button down skirt with a blush pink cami. Camis are definitely a must-have piece. You can dress them up or dress them down. There are just so many ways to style them! In this look, I tucked it into the skirt. When wearing a sleeveless top, I usually make sure to have some sort of outerwear with me just in case the weather gets chilly or I have to spend time in a cold room. This particular piece of outerwear is slowly becoming one of my favorites because it can keep me warm in cold rooms but I can still be comfortable when I’m outside in the warm weather.

Of course, off shouldered tops are also on this list. They are so in right now and they’re an effortless way to look chic. With tops like this, you could pair it with almost any bottom  making it perfect for when you are on the go. Lately, I’ve been favoring off shouldered tops for my school outfits because they’re a good way to mix up my everyday look without straying from my style. I think everyone should give off-shouldered tops a shot, because they look flattering on all body types and can be styled differently to match anyone’s style.

If you want to try out these looks, I got the blush pink cami, black sleeveless trench coat, black off-shoulder top, and black jumper dress from Astra Manila! Go ahead and treat yourself with some retail therapy! Make sure to use my code MITZIxAM to get 10% off!
