Hair Dying:

-Home Hair Dying Experience-

Today I’m going to share with you my hair dying experiences.. Some of you might say ‘she’s such an idiot’.. But hey ditsy Tee.

The first ever time I got my hair coloured was by my mum. I know loads of parents wouldn’t allow their child to dye their hair let alone do it for them, but my mum was cool with it (took a little bit of convincing..)

I can’t remember what brand I used the first time I did it but it was a blonde colour because people with dark hair achieve a brownish colour and thats the sort of colour I was going for. So the first time it was a success!!

So the second time I did it which was fairly recent. I thought I’d go a bit lighter (honey blonde) with no experience with hair dying I went hands on with all the wrong equipment and products.

From dying my hair previously my hair grew out and my roots were darker then the ends of my hair. I already had an ombré thing going on.. And I wanted to add a few highlights

I went on a used the L’Oreal Paris Préférence Mousse Absolue. Yeah I know it says mousse but that didn’t click on my head when I bought it.

Once I got home I read the package and thought what’s the worse that can happen? ( I had my mum in the background telling me my hairs going to go green)

I wanted my hair done on that day and I wasn’t going to go return the hair dye. It was just too late! I forgot to puchase the hair dying brush and bowl. I was still determined to do it!

I went on and grabbed random parts of my hair and whacked on some mousse (with a toothbrush) and wrapped it with foil. I read online that heat speeds up the process so I put my blow drier on the lowest heat (I didn’t want completely damage my hair) and blow dried it for a few minuets. I then gave my hair a good wash with vatika wild cactus shampoo (I swear by this shampoo whenever I use any other shampoo I suffer from hair loss) and the conditioner that came with the hair dye. And surprisingly the outcome was exactly what I wanted it to be, honey blonde.

If I can do it anyone can!

Hope you all enjoyed reading this post. If you’ve ever had exciting hair dying experience I’d be delighted to read about it. be sure to tweet me or just comment below.

Loads of love, Tahira
