Najeeb Jung did not like police action in JNU

On Monday Lt.Governor of Delhi has given a statement in which he said that he disfavored action against the students of JNU College for raising anti - India slogans in the college campus and even suggested that they should be engaged in dialogue.

He further accused that police is invited only in cases of acute arson and not in the case of sloganeering.

He spoke about this on India TV news channel and tried to explain his part that je do not encourage anti nationalism but on the same hand he would also not take action against the students for mere slogan shouting and he feels sorry for them.
He has forgotten that the slogans which were raised in JNU campus were not related to some election campaign but against India that too in the heart of the capital city of the country.

In this case no dialogue or round of questions should have happened or the issue should have not been politicised by the Political Parties but all political parties started baking their chapatis in this heat.

Do we talk to any terrorists who are against the nation or do we go in any dialogues with them and ask for their suggestions. The students did not talk about any political parties in the beginning and were talking about the anti-national activities and now suddenly when the media has hopes about them they have turned into a social thinker.

According to Najeeb Jung by calling the police have stretched this incident and not the political parties who have come in support and against these students.

When asked about the “Bharat Mata Ki jai” slogans he said that no one can be forced to say anything. He is of the opinion that of someone is not nationalist then it does not mean that he is anti-Indian.

Mr Najeeb Jung feels that people are losing the nuances of the words as by saying “Bharat Mata Ki Jay” is different from worshiping any deity or “Allah” or god. It is a matter of pride for a person to love his country and therefore, would be absolutely happy to say “Madre- Watan Zindabad or Bharat Mata ki Jai whatever.
