Review: Castle

IMBD: Bored with his success, celebrated mystery novelist Rick Castle teams with NYPD Detective Kate Beckett to solve the case of a copycat killer who re-creates murder scenes from Rick’s novels. While solving the case, the two realize that their unorthodox partnership has its benefits and decide to continue working together. Combining his writer’s intuition with her creative detective work, they investigate strange homicides in New York, all the while building a strong, if complicated, relationship with each other.

So boy meets girl, boy likes girl, girl gets really annoyed and wants him to go away. Then they live happily ever after.

Spoilers will be included from here on out!

Castle started off as a very popular TV show, and for awhile it seemed like they couldn’t go wrong. Their seasons, however, took a long break somewhere along the line where suddenly the show just disappeared unless you actually went looking for it. This was unfortunate, in the last few seasons they gave the show the big WOW that it needed – provided new and unheard of villains to the story which made an impact. This crime fighting Mystery Series deserved a lot more than it received. It appears as though they had everything planned out until the very last episode where they realized, oh wait, no one really cares now. The ending dropped very quickly – a feeling only viewers of the recent TV series Merlin would know. Sadly, they didn’t provide the story with it’s deserved ending. It provided us instead with a few very short moments of the two leads seven years later with a couple of kids. No spoken words, no hilarious moments of Kate trying to work and be her persistent self with a pregnant belly, just: The End.

This series is amazing, full of twists and turns that can be completed unexpected. Castle’s humor and Kate’s dazzling smile keeps you watching it.

For those wondering how brief the ending was to this amazing series, it’s a little like…

The end.
