The Istanbul Airport has been seized by Coup plotters as The Turkish Prime Minister confirmed a coup attempt in Turkey.

Binali Yildirim announced the coup plot but said it was under control and that the Coup Plotters will be dealt with. Details have not immediately been made available but a number of generals are said to be involved.

Two key bridges also have been shut down by the Army and despite claims of the PM, it appears the coup is still underway as the Army has released a statement that it has seized power.
