Zoella Beauty Review

A couple of months ago I decided to finally order some products from the much loved Zoella Beauty range. I was unsure which of the scents would appeal to me the most so I decided to get a product from each of the collections so I could test out the scents. I bought Soak Opera from the original collection, Foam Sweet Foam from the Tutti Fruity collection and Bath Latte from the newest collection, Sweet Inspirations. As you can see all the products are packaged beautifully and are extremely appealing to the eye. As well as this none of the products are not tested on animals although I'm pretty sure they're not vegan. When I purchased my items Soak Opera and Foam Sweet Foam were reduced slightly but I've provided the recommended retail price (RRP) as the prices do fluctuate quite regularly.

This bath soak/shower cream has a floral fragrance and contain shea butter and aloe to help soften the skin. As the name suggests, it can be used in the bath to make bubbles or in the shower as a cleansing cream. I've only used it in the shower as of yet and I find it creates a healthy amount of lather. The product itself is a  pearlescent pink and quite thick. I would consider it more of a gel than a cream. The scent is a little disappointing, from the bottle it has an underlying scent of washing detergent but when used in the shower it honestly reminds me of an Avon perfume scent (like the samples in the books). It wasn't drying but it also wasn't moisturising, the product did what it was intended to do but didn't blow me away. Overall this is my least favourite scent and I wouldn't purchase anything else from the original collection.

Foam Sweet Foam £3.50 ($6.10)

Foam Sweet Foam is my second favourite smelling product of the lot so I was disappointed to find that the Tutti Fruity collection has been discontinued (I believe you can still find it in the UK). The gel is the same consistency and colour as Soak Opera but contains a much nicer fruity scent. "This foaming gel will help soften and smooth the skin with extracts of acai and blueberry." The scent is still a little detergenty but is so much nicer than Soak Opera. The product lathers nicely and the scent does remain on your skin for around thirty minutes after getting out of the shower. Once again it did nothing for my skin. If I could I would like to try some other products particularly the body lotion from this collection.

Bath Latte £6 ($10.45)

This is one of the most amazing scents I have ever smelt, I am in love! and this was the one I thought I wouldn't like. It smells sweet, creamy and delicious, I just want to eat it!!! The product is thick, creamy and lathers well when used as a shower milk/cream. The packaging is lovely but if I had to pick a negative about it, it would be the large opening at the top. As it is shaped as a milk bottle the opening is quite large making it easy for too much product to escape whilst being poured. I did use this one in the bath and it created quite a lot of bubbles and made the water feel silky and soft but the scent was very weak. I think that the scent is amazing in the bottle but it just didn't carry over when being used which is unfortunate. Another down side to this product is that it does contain milk protein which in my opinion, is pretty gross. Due to my love of the scent I would love to try the body lotion sometime and the body mist if they ever come to Australia.

I really did have high hopes for these products since I have read and watched so many positive reviews. When I first received and wrote my review on the products it was a lot more positive but after using them for around a month and comparing them to some other (cheaper) options I was left with a negative opinion. Sorry that this review didn't end up being that positive, but as always it is my honest and personal opinion which may differ from yours. This is in no way bashing the name behind the brand, my opinion was based solely on the products themselves. If you have ever tried anything from Zoella Beauty I would love to know your thoughts and experiences! Thanks for reading :)
