Typewriter Series #2863 by Tyler Knott Gregson

*Seed line first, swipe for the full poem.  Also, Psst, wanna hear me read these poems aloud?  Podcast is up on Spotify and iTunes and places, and the linkthing is in my bio.*

Same haircut since it grew,
same shirts since they
started fitting me,
same shoes since we couldn’t
afford name brand,
found the knock-off in
a mall that no longer stands.

I was this and am it still,
will be it, I know nothing else.

Growth inside, though
skin
still holds it,
I am the expansion of
the universe
held snug in this shell
that stretches.

Light years now,
from the first light I saw,

galaxies away,
inside, I think

as I button the same button
I have fixed a dozen
times.
