Same haircut since it grew,
same shirts since they
started fitting me,
same shoes since we couldn’t
afford name brand,
found the knock-off in
a mall that no longer stands.I was this and am it still,
will be it, I know nothing else.Growth inside, though
skin
still holds it,
I am the expansion of
the universe
held snug in this shell
that stretches.Light years now,
from the first light I saw, galaxies away,
inside, I thinkas I button the same button
I have fixed a dozen
times.-Tyler Knott Gregson-
