Karwa chauth is considered one of the most important fasting observed by the married Hindu women only and you know as i said that true lover also.  this day all she is pray to god for welfare and long life to their husband. this festival following basically in the northern parts of our country.

Married woman worship of Lord Shiva with his family including Lord Ganesha and this day she is not eat food even a drop of the water after sunrise. and the women listen to the karwa chauth legend (katha) in the evening. she break the fast only after the moon rise in night.
