Automobiles have become such a phenomenon that 125cc scooters are the second largest market in the world. Scooters with their stylish design and ease of use has become an affordable form of commuting and so has since become a part of lifestyle. And naturally the demands and expectations too increase with acceptance as it gets absorbed into the family and community at large. Suzuki Motors launched their All New Access 125 in Chennai at Taj Coramandel on 17th March 2015. We saw the Senior management team of Suzuki India at the event – Mr. Kenji Hiroshawa, VP Sales and Marketing launching the vehicle and Mr. D. Suresh Babu, Product and planning explaining the features that makes it unique. We are not auto bloggers nor do we fancy knowledge on them and so our focus was more on what the ALL New Access has to offer to normal person be it a father, mother, daughter or a son in terms of comfort and convenience.

Suzuki Access 125 is in the market since 2007 and the new one comes with a host of improvements from the point of comfort. It is provided with SEP engine (Suzuki Eco Performance) to provide low fuel consumption and was found to give 64 kms / litre on road. It has longest seat, broader footboard and is all Aluminum and hence weighs 10 kgs less, a boon for women struggling with heavy scooters.
Head lamps and tail lamps are chrome finished and the lights seem to be pretty good to travel on a dark road. It has a digital speedometer and twin trip fuel meter to keep you informed on the fuel levels. Another interesting factor is its 12” tyre in place of standard 10” to offer better grip on the road. Hope it provides respite from easy skidding on the road specifically during rainy times. It is equipped with an easy start system, front pocket and an optional DC socket – now we need not go in search of a charging socket to charge our mobiles. It also has an anti theft system to prevent the keyhole from being tampered with a shutter sealed with a key.
Another interesting part is Suzuki’s New Access 125 is over 99% manufactured indigenous and is sold through 10 sales and service networks. It is given to understand that secondary networks are being introduced now. Suzuki aims to sell 200,000 units in the first year and the vehicle comes with a 2 year warranty as standard and another 3 years as extended warranty (optional).
Suzuki All New Access 125 comes at Rs. 57,947/- Ex-showroom Price. It is available in 5 color variants – Candy Sonoma Red, Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matt fibroin Gray and Glass Sparkle Black.
