India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has several models in the pipeline for 2023. Although the carmaker is usually secretive about its upcoming vehicles, we can confirm that it has three new cars that we can expect to be launched sometime in 2023.

Maruti Jimny

The long-awaited Jimny will finally arrive in its five-door avatar this year. The lifestyle SUV has been, giving us a fair idea of the long-wheelbase version’s aesthetics. It’s expected to debut at Auto Expo 2023 with a starting price of around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Baleno-based SUV

Maruti also has a Baleno-based subcompact crossover SUV in the works that. It’ll sit alongside the Brezza as a more premium Nexa offering (the Brezza is sold through Arena outlets) and could even bring back the carmaker’s 1-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engine that was previously available in the Baleno RS.

Maruti Premium MPV

Maruti is working on its own version of the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV. It’ll be the most premium people mover offered by the carmaker in India, slotting well above the Ertiga and XL6 MPVs. The premium MPV will likely offer ICE and hybrid powertrain options alongside the creature comforts and features we’ve seen in the Innova Hycross. It’ll likely be the most expensive Maruti product in India.

The upcoming cars from Maruti give us a lot to look forward to in 2023. Of course, this list is far from exhaustive and we do expect to see more updated and all-new cars from the carmaker throughout 2023.
