Hyundai Venue Facelift has 3 month waiting period: Old model stock to be cleared first

South Korean manufacturer Hyundai has introduced the Venue facelift in the Indian market. The mid-life update is expansive and adds a lot of new features to the Venue. Hyundai has already started accepting the bookings for the Venue and has received about 15,000 pre=bookings till now for the new model.

Hyundai already has a backlog of 25,000 units of the old Venue. Before delivering the new model, the company will clear the backlog first.

Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor India told ETAuto,

Hyundai has a total backlog of 135,000 units across its model range, owing to the shortage of semiconductors in the industry. We have conveyed to the new Venue customers that the model comes with a waiting period of three months,” “Our priority is to clear the backlog of the old model. Some of its customers have converted their purchases from the old model to the new,”

Hyundai has introduced the facelift of the Venue sub-4m compact SUV in the Indian market. The price for Hyundai Venue 1.2 litre naturally aspirated version starts at Rs 7.53 lakh, ex-showroom. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol iMT variant is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom and the 1.5-litre diesel variant is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

The new Hyundai VENUE” is available in 3 engine options Kappa 1.2 l MPi petrol, Kappa 1.0 l Turbo Gdi Petrol and 1.5 l CRDi diesel engines. The Kappa 1.2 l MPi petrol and U2 1.5 l CRDi diesel engines are offered with Manual transmission, while the Kappa 1.0 l Turbo GDi petrol engine is offered with the exciting iMT and DCT. All prices are introductory and One India One Price (ex-showroom).

The Kappa 1.2 l MPi petrol line-up will be offered in 4 variants, starting with the E variant which comes at an attractive price of Rs. 7,53,100. The Kappa 1.2 l MPi petrol S variant with 5MT comes with key safety features like ESC, VSM and TPMS along with hi-tech digital screens including touch screen audio and cluster and is priced at Rs. 8,70,400. The S(O) variant offers LED headlamps, DRLs and connecting LED lamps and is priced at of Rs. 9,50,200. The top variant of the Kappa 1.2 l MPI petrol line-up is the SX trim that offers advanced Hyundai Bluelink technology, Electric sunroof & rear split 60:40 seats with reclining function and is priced at Rs. 10,69,500.

The exciting Kappa 1.0 l Turbo GDi petrol line-up starts with the S(O) iMT variant, offering top safety features, digital screens with touch screen audio and cluster and LED headlamps, DRL and connecting LED lamps as STANDARD. And it comes at an incredible price of Rs. 9,99,900. While the DCT option in S(O) is priced at Rs. 10,96,700. The top-of-the-line SX(O) iMT is priced at Rs. 11,92,000 and the DCT version comes at Rs. 12,57,000

In line with Kappa 1.0 l Turbo GDi petrol, the U2 1.5 l CRDi diesel variants come with a host of standard features like Touchscreen audio, digital cluster, safety features like ESC, VSM and TPMS along with Connecting type LED tail lamps. It starts with S+ Manual variant, which is priced at Rs. 9,99,900. The diesel SX manual is available at a price of Rs. 11,42,500 & the top feature-packed SX(O) diesel is priced at Rs. 12,32,000.

Dual tone exterior color option is available at Rs. 15,000.

The most striking change on the outside is the front grille. Hyundai has updated the grille to look like the new parametric grille of the all-new Tucson, which will be due for a launch in the Indian market next month. The massive front grille extends to become the DRLs and turn indicators. The headlamps are positioned towards the bumper just like the pre-facelift model.

The design of the bumper is now updated and it adds a wide look to the sub-4m SUV. Down below, there is a faux skid plate in silver colour. Hyundai has also added new alloy wheels to the Venue. We have seen some of the best-looking alloy wheels from the brand and this is one more.
