The Volkswagen Passat is the current flagship model of Volkswagen in India. It has been on sale in India for around a decade now and has seen various generations updates. On our shores, the Passat rivals the likes of the Honda Accord, Skoda Superb, and the Toyota Camry among others in its segment. The current model of this German sedan has prices ranging from Rs. 31 lakhs up to Rs. 40 lakhs (on-road, Delhi), which is quite a big sum. But if you are really moved by the Passat, you can own a nicely kept example for a fraction of that price if you don’t mind going through the used car route. This Volkswagen Passat can be driven home for just Rs. 5.57 lakhs. It is available for sale in Delhi and is the 2011 model. This was the same year in which Volkswagen launched this upgraded model of the Passat after phasing out the older gen model. The on-road price of the top-end variant of Maruti Suzuki Wagon R in Gurugram is Rs. 6.36 lakhs, which is much more than what the Volkswagen Passat here is available for. A few points to note here are that the servicing, maintenance, running and spare parts cost of the Volkswagen Passat is much higher than that of the Wagon R.

Going by the images, this Passat seems to be in a decent condition barring a few scratches. The car looks completely stock and rides on factory fitted 5-spoke alloy wheels. The Volkswagen Passat is known for its relatively understated design and this one is no different. In fact, it is the perfect car for those who don’t want a flashy ride but don’t want to miss on any creature comforts and luxury as well.

The interiors also seem to be in decent shape and are draped in a dual-tone shade of black and beige. The dashboard design is classy with the typical chunky Volkswagen 3-spoke steering wheel. It comes with plenty of cool and convenient features such as a sunroof and Park Assist, and Easy Open Boot that automatically opens the boot door when you place your leg under the rear bumper.

The car has covered around 61,000 km till date according to its seller. However, the number of owners it has been with has not been specified and interested people should make sure to ask for these details from the seller.  Also, do ask for the full-service history of the car and give it a thorough check as well as a test drive before making up your mind to buy it.

Powring this Volkswagen Passat is a 2.0-litre BlueMotion diesel (CR TDI) motor that produces 170 Bhp of maximum power and 350 Nm of maximum torque. This was the only engine available with this generation of the Passat and came mated to a 6-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gear) dual-clutch gearbox.
