Last year for Subaru Loves to Help and the Subaru Love Promise, we along with other Greater Pittsburgh area Subaru retailers donated meals to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. This year, we’re going to do it all over again.

As we know, the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic left many families without income and without work. As a result, many families and children went hungry and worried where their next meals were coming from. Food insecurity became an increasingly hot topic. Though our sales department was closed for an entire month, we were able to join in with other Subaru retailers in donating meals to those in need. As a result, 50 million meals were donated to various Feeding America food banks across the United States.

The effects of this were so grand, Subaru and its retailers have decided to donate again. This time, Subaru retailers will be donating 100 million meals to various Feeding America food banks across the US, with the option to donate more at the individual retail level.

We are proud to partner up with Greater Pittsburgh area Subaru retailers again and donate 1,170,763 meals to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Additionally, Spangler Subaru will donate 15,000 meals on top of this collective donation.

The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank serves the Pittsburgh area as well as Somerset and Cambria Counties. Once again we are thrilled to help out so many in need.
