2017 Flood City Music Festival

What goes together better than the warm, summer breeze complementing the swirling musical notes emanating from the amplifiers of up and coming musicians while the bass beats rumble the ground under your feet? If you answered with ‘having that take place in our very own Johnstown’ then you are correct! The annual Flood City Music Festival is right around the corner and this year the lineup is one you will not want to miss.

This year the festival will take place at Peoples Natural Gas Park in downtown Johnstown on August 4th & 5th, which falls on a Friday and Saturday. It is once again presented by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association and will feature talent both locally and nationally. The festival coordinators decided to change a few things up and scaled back the length down to just two days. This allows for a more jam-packed experience and earning a higher return for your admission.

Musicians are travelling from all over the US to showcase a manifold experience over many diverse genres. Some of the performers include Jefferson Starship, Igor & Red Elvises, Thorn Bush, The Velvet Stones, The Boogie Hustlers, and many more! Local acts include The Crew of the Half Moon and The Evergreens. Friday night will be headlined by The Clarks and Sugar Ray will cap off Saturday.

Spangler Subaru will be the exclusive presenting sponsor for Driftwood and The Crew of the Half Moon. You can catch Driftwood playing the 1st Summit Stage Saturday from 4:30 – 6:00 pm and The Crew will kick off the festival Friday on the First Commonwealth Stage from 4:00 – 5:30 pm.

On top of two spectacular days of musical performances, the festival also offers amenities such as food and beer, plus there will be a special recreational area called the Oilhouse Lounge for Vip Ticket Holders. VIP ticket holders will also be able to visit the full bar and flush restrooms. You can find more information here.
