Aha! Many never saw this one coming to make headlines. Or did they?
Curvy Diva Yanique vs. Fluffy Diva Kitty? Battle of the Magnum Divas? Years of tension seemed to bubble over like hot soup in the blink of an eye.
Ms Kitty, who is known for her outspoken sense of self maybe didn’t intend to take a jab at Yanique during last week’s episode of the Magnum Kings of Queens of Dancehall talent show. But it was clear that there might have been a long-standing ‘feud’ between the two female media heavyweights.
Kitty started by addressing Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell about the fact that he must know his facts before trying to address the seeming ‘beef’ between her and Yanique. She then addressed Yanique by saying that she prefers to deal with things directly because she “a real top gyal a road.”
Yanique attempted to "butt in" but she was drowned out by a louder-voiced Ms. Kitty. Cheers from the crowd added fuel to the fire and it was surprising that none of the other three judges made an attempt to calm the verbal spat between the two. Ms Kitty added that the only thing she wants to beef with is her bank account. Her exhortation to ‘buss a blank’ got the crowd going once again.
The Curvy Diva rebutted sharply by saying that instead of airing it publicly, Ms Kitty could have been more mature by addressing her in a more private setting, especially because Ms Kitty’s dressing room is next to hers. By the look of things, it would be easy to think that Ms Kitty was asserting herself in the eyes of the public as she usually does.
Both acknowledged during the spat that they had no ‘beef.’ But maybe one has just been "manufactured" ...
It may get hot though as there are talks that both could be fired from the talent show soon (that’s if both haven’t already been given the boot.’) It is rumored that Mark Kenny, the Founder of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall talent show will make some decisions about the future of both divas on the show. Both had been ordered to apologize during a meeting with the Magnum producer.
Fans and media trendsetters alike are watching this one closely. It’s about to get hot in here as the gossips surrounding last week’s incident continues to rise into the spotlight...
