If you think that Miley Cyrus made Twerking famous think again! Twerking has been re-invented by an unlikely star: Adele! She is not as dull as some people might think. Watch out!
What! Hello from the outside indeed. Adele twerking? This had many surprised. Adele is only known for her sultry voice, cackling laughs and heart-warming performances on tours across the world right?
The ‘Hello’ singer wasn’t "Rolling in the Deep" when she attempted to do this at the London O2 Arena a few days ago during a live performance. She had the guts to laugh at herself, realizing that it was a failed attempt. She admitted that she has to move her entire body in order to do it the right way or else her bum could break her back because “it’s so enormous.”
The same can’t be said of Miley Cyrus who made twerking popular. It is clear that twerking doesn’t only fit people with a slim build and more flexibility.
Adele’s ability to laugh at herself shows tremendous confidence and sends a message to plus- sized artistes that they shouldn’t let their size stop them from trying new moves on stage. Sometimes “it’s all about that bass.” So there should be no trouble trying something new right?
Remember Adele is still a role model for many young female celebrities and she can be viewed as proof that one doesn’t have to be sexually graphic in order to sell music. She still managed to keep it modest even during this very brief occasion.
We hope that we will continue not to have dull moments with Adele because it is clear that she knows how to switch it up at times when we least expect it.
Continue trying to twerk at those concerts Adele, but still show your class beyond measure.
