All Spice Food and Reggae Festival Re-Cap

Music is the heartbeat of Jamaica and there is no doubt about that! Wherever you go on this vivacious Island you hear pulsating beats of Reggae and Dancehall Music to get you in a feel good mood. Last week , the Bonner Brothers and friends brought us the All Spice Food and Reggae Festival. Haute People was on the scene quite early just so we can get full coverage of the Event.

THE FOOD

There were a few food choices which ranged from Jerked Chicken , Vegetarian and Festival Food ( Hot Dogs and Popcorn ) and a Bar. We kinda wished there were more food options since the Event was branded as a Food Festival and the prices were a bit out there at one of the booths. We did like the fact that each booth was prepared to receive the patrons as there were no long lines and ordering was a breeze. The Makabee Booth was our favorite which is a small Family owned and operated Business. The enthusiasm of the young boy at only 12 made us all want to follow our dreams and be the best we can.

THE MUSIC

The show started on time which was commendable and is something that does not happen often! The stage was well lit which made it easy for capturing Photos. Starting off the night were the Future Star Performers who all came to captivate the audience and give a stellar performance. Performers include: Rockhall All Age School , Aldeno , Nichelous , Iyah Shine , I-Stitch , Charly B , Kasha Roots Band , Desolation Kadamawe , Venomus and Ky-Enie.

The standout performer of that segment was I- Stitch who had "Moves like Jagger" who seemed to literally glide across the stage. He brought back lyrics that had to do with reserving children's innocence and not partaking in anything that is deemed "Taboo". I-Stitch reminds of a young Lieutenant Stitchie who is passionate his performance , Engages the audience and of course not afraid to speak his mind by way of Lyrics.

While we had to leave the Event before it ended we still had a great time , so much that we completely forgot we were there to cover the event. We gave the Event a 8/10 and will definitely be looking forward to the 2017 staging.
