After having been on the road for some time, we were going to Spend three days in the same destination. This was in Bergen, where I used to live when I was a student and Noways second largest city. Our main goal for the stay, a part from enjoying ourselves was to spend some time with good old friends.

Originally we where going to stay with them, but one of their kids had a cold and even if she got a negative Covid test the second day we where there, we decided it was best to stay at a Hotel and meet them outside, so we did not have to have home office when we got home due to a common cold. We got a nice hotel in the center of town at a good price, and the hotel breakfast was one of the best we had the whole trip, and that is saying something because I was very impressed by the level of breakfasts that they where able to serve with the restrictions that are in place.

We enjoyed good food, we ate at my favorite soup place Zupperia, enjoyed a fish lunch at Søstrene Hagelin, had a sushi buffet at Sabrura sticks and sushi and had a fantastic pizza at Villani. And we had many lovely experiences. Some of them will get a post later. But a lot of the time was spent with my friend and her family and on the Saturday we spent quite a few hours on a hike in the woods. We were out for drinks and we had a nice dinner, so even if we did not stay with them we did get to spend a lot of time together and we got the chance to catch up and had a wonderful time.

Bergen is called the city between the 7 mountains and is know for being the rainy city. We had mostly nice weather, but we had a little bit of rain that showed up most notably when we were sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine. All in all we had a very good time and it was really nice to get up in the morning and not have to get in the car to go for a long drive.
