A concert and films

This weekend it was time to go to a Concert that I had been looking forward too for some time. I left work a little early on Friday to shop, clean and make some food for the guest that we had invited to come to us for food and a pre-party before the concert. The pre-party was a great success and we went up to the concert in a good mood. The girl who warmed up for the artist called herself Some Feather and was a very good singer songwriter. Hanne Vasshus, the main act was really amazing, and I’m not just saying that because I know her, her voice is lovely and she has a real presence on stage. The musicians she had with her are very good and I especially enjoyed the string quartet that joined on a few songs. After the concert we went out to dance.

Yesterday was a lazy day, I went out for a little walk, but the rain and wind was quite bad, so the walk was cut quite short. So most of the day the TV showed me Winter Sports, something I thing is a perfect thing to watch after a night out. I don’t know why but I’ve always enjoyed watching winter sports on TV and it’s especially good after good night out.

Evening time was time for looking at some films on Netflix and it was my better half that was doing the choosing. First out was The Big Short, a story about a few investors who bet against the mortgage market and in their research they discovered just how flawed and corrupt that marked was. It is a Film I had heard about when it came out in 2015 and I wanted to see the movie, but as with a lot of films, I never got around to it. I enjoyed the movie and can recommend it to anyone who is as slow as me in actually getting to see the films I want.

After this we decided to get a bit silly and went for  a movie called Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. And yes, it is as silly as it sounds, but for some reason it is a bit enjoyable. On IMDB the storyline is said to be:

The five highly trained Bennett sisters in Georgian England must try to protect themselves from the growing zombie threat, find suitable husbands for themselves, battle marriage proposals and unlikely suitors, and save the country before it’s too late.

All in all the weekend, so far, has been quite good. Today I will need to go for a walk, so I’m hoping for a little bit better weather today than yesterday. I will also have my usual Sunday dose of lovely blog posts. Sadly I will also have to spend some of my day working, due to having been busy over the week and a deadline coming up tomorrow.

How have you been spending the  weekend? Did anything good?
