Reflecting on the Life of Anthony Bourdain: The Most Interesting Man in the World

Most people were shocked by Anthony Bourdain’s death, and some even termed it hard to imagine. Their reactions are not unexpected given the fact that he committed suicide. Here, you can have a look at how the most interesting man in the world lived life and what can we learn from it.

Passion is Everything

One of the friends and associate of Bourdain explained that he had a passion for everything he did. He had strong opinions on everything and never let go of topics that interested him.

Being an Introvert

He was also an introvert who had a very public job. Like many other celebrities, he never pretended to be someone he was not, on the television. He was funny, sarcastic and had a dark sense of humor, all the traits we have seen on the screen often. He didn’t pretend to be someone he was not.

Being Unique

Though most people know that Tony had a great job where he was overfed, over liquored, connected with people, had fun and traveled the world, he sometimes thought that his life was not easy. He often commented that being him was hard work.

An Inspiration

One of his colleagues described him as a larger than life person who was loved by women and envied by men who wanted to be like him. He knew that people envied it, but he was a humble person for whom materialistic things didn’t matter as they could have.

Being Human

This may seem like a cliché, but Anthony was a deep human being. He was a great talent who had a unique voice and style but being a deep human mattered to him the most.

The Curious Fellow

Bourdain was also an exceptional journalist because he had a curiosity for everything. He wanted to know the answer to every question by digging deep and didn’t let go until he found satisfactory answers. Natural curiosity is a trait of every good journalist, and that’s what made him an excellent one.

The Peaceful Person

The TV personality had a wide heart and accepted people despite their differences. He considered all people to be equal even though he knew people used different languages, came from different cultures and had different religions. He wanted to share stories of people from a diverse background to make the world a little bit smaller, a little bit more personal while avoiding the abuses, the wars, and the hatred.

An Adventurer Who Will Live On

In essence, the travel documentarian was an adventurer who connected with everyone and saw good in everything that was different by going to different places. It’s a huge tragedy that he failed to know his self-worth. If he had known his self-worth, he would have never killed himself because it’s hard for the world to find another Anthony Bourdain who made us all smile at one time or the other and made life a little more worth it.
