The chart-topping popular 90s television show that changed the course of Hollywood sitcoms forever was FRIENDS. The TV show while has been dissected to set unrealistic expectations on modern lifestyle and having deluded adults into having to search for the perfect social group, still, FRIENDS will forever be the best comedy to air on television. The series tells the story about the lives of 6 friends – Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey with the occasional cameo from other famous movie stars has been etched in history due to their amazing performance, comic timing and some great romances. The characters are very different from each other and have endearing quirks about themselves that makes them relatable to the masses. Simpsons

An animated series with the focus on an average American family, with Homer Simpson being the satirical American patriarch, this show is still running and is presently in its 29th season. Community

This is still considered as a cult favorite in pop culture, it only ran on air for 6 seasons, but the fans miss the show dearly. Set in a community College and surrounding the lives of a diverse study group with the main character being an emotionally detached Jeff Winger, who is a good-looking young man who practiced as a lawyer before being suspended after discovering he doesn’t have a college degree. He is forced to attend a community college and meets an equally eclectic group of classmates who are assigned together as a study group and slowly become friends, surrounded by interesting other students and a hilariously unique college dean.

The show has represented some of the greatest satirical, comic situations referring to popular themes like sci-fi, fantasy and much more. It is almost indescribable for even the ardent fans of the show, so, you have to watch it to know how great it is.

Game of Thrones

This is set in the medieval times and deals on the subject on nine noble families and their struggle to come into power for ruling a mythical land of Westeros. There is everything in this show from layers of drama, to thrill, to violence to sex and humor. An epic representation of global politics, the show is heavily inspired from real cultures and practices that were popular during medieval times is based on R.R Martin’s classic book ‘The song of Ice and Fire.’

Lost

This TV show is an intense thriller, drama series packed with betrayal, politics, love and adventure. The story revolves around the lives of people who survived a gruesome plane crash and landed on a remote deserted tropical island where they must work together to survive and get back to their homelands. The show takes the viewers on a journey, has a stunning cast and even a mystery in the seemingly beautiful island. That’s it, no more spoilers, go watch it now.

Sherlock

This is one of the most popular series today, with a modern and well-imagined take on the classic detective character of Sherlock Holmes written by Dr. Arthur Conan Doyle. It is a 21st century re-imagination of a genius detective, with his sidekick and friend John Watson an Afghan War veteran. Sherlock played by the amazing Benedict Cumberbatch is a must watch for anybody who enjoys mysteries even more so for his unique role-playing of an arrogant, disengaged and emotionally stunted genius.
