A member of Judiciary Service Commission in Osun State, Hon. Rotimi Makinde and his beautiful queen, Oyebanke Oyelami Makinde, winner of 2013 Miss Osun beauty pageant are set to be honoured with chieftaincy titles of Bobajiroro and Yeye Bobajiroro of Ede Kingdom by HRM Oba (Dr) Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa I, Timi of Ede and the Ede Council of Chiefs.
This high profile honour will go side by side with the ceremonies marking the 10th year coronation anniversary of the Ede monarch, Oba Timi of Ede.
In a letter formally addressed to Makinde, a former member of House of Representatives who represented Ife Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, the astute politician was said to have been carefully selected for this honour alongside his wife on the strength of his unalloyed support for those in need, outstanding leadership qualities, personal achievements with undiluted vision and determination to human race.
The jubilant Makinde who spoke to publisher of Pearl News through a phone conversation today said;
“I feel greatly honoured, rewarded and fulfilled on this new honour and recognition given to me by the highly revered Ede Monarch, such honour can never be taken for granted. Amazingly, the honour as Bobajiroro of Ede and to my lovely wife, Yeyebobajiroro of Ede Kingdom, I found most remarkable and dignifying for me and my entire family.
With greatest humility and honour, I am pleased to inform you that the letter notifying me of the intention of the monarch of Ede in council to bestow on me and my wife with the chieftaincy titles of Bobajiroro and Yeye Bobajiro of Ede come March 10th, 2018 is the greatest gift and honour I have ever received in the year.
