Quick & Easy DIY Hanging Marble Moon Phase

Hey guys! It's not often that you see me do DIY's; by that, I mean I've done two in the past year and a half of EveryLittleThing! I was scrolling through Pinterest until I stumbled across a blog post (linked at the end) which inspired me to make it. I loved the end result and hope you do too!

First of all, you're going to need to get a Marble (or any, for that matter) print.

I typed into Google 'Black Marble' and to get a good quality, large image I used search tools and chose the size 'Large'. I copied the image and pasted it into Word twice to fill an A4 sheet, and then printed it off

Now you're going to need to draw out your Moon phases! Mine weren't exactly accurate, but I couldn't make a really long Garland so kept it simple.

To get perfect circles, I used a pencil and compass and then drew in the different shapes when needed. Do this on the back of the printed sheet so its easier to see/cut out and if you make a mistake, you can easily rub it out! Then cut out the different phases

After you've cut out all the moon phases you're going to use, you need to turn it into a garland. I used Blu Tack and string and kept it super simple.

I started by measuring out how much string I'd need (I ended up using 25cm, but do what's right for your garland!) and then cut it off. I then went on to put Blu-Tack on the back of the shapes and attach it to the garland. I Blu-Tacked the first crescent only at the bottom and last crescent only at the top so I can then Blu-Tack the garland to my door, walls etc...

This isn't technically a step because it's pretty obvious, but you now have to hang up your finished garland! I liked to attach it near my door or on my Notice Board, but you can obviously hang it up wherever your heart desires!

That's it for today! Be sure to let me know in the comments or on social media if you tried this DIY and how it turned out. Until the next post, bye guys!
