Why hello there, long time no see would be a Slight understatement- to say the least! As I'm sure some of you may have gathered, I haven't been regularly Blogging for about a year now- and I felt it wouldn't be right to return and get back into the swing of things without an explanation. So here it is, without further ado... this is where I've been and this is where I hope to go. I hope you enjoy the read.

I've always been an advocate for transparency, so it feels hypocritical of me to admit that my heart really hasn't been with blogging for the past year. Looking back, it's clear that I initially put out content just for the sake of putting out content- as if there was an underlying pressure to be 'consistent' blogger who sticks to their posting schedule rigorously; that didn't work for long, though, and my posts became few and far between. While I'm not the biggest fan of the Kardashians, I can only sum up my feelings with Kylie's "year of like, realising stuff"- because I think, after blogging for 3 years, I needed a break and to re-evaluate what it is I'm putting online. I laugh now, with all the 'life update' posts I wrote trying to get back into blogging, but now... I think I finally have some sense of direction and motivation to be back for the foreseeable future- that'll all be further on in the post.  As for an uploading schedule, I think it's fair to say that won't be coming back any time soon!

Although I'd say I've always been fairly academically inclined, Year 11 has well and truly been the year I've found my love for learning- and I've never been more tired as a result! I guess, in this way, you could say it contributed to the slight blogging palava I've been having...  In fact, it's even led me to delete my personal Instagram and simply keep my study account- wow... something really is up with the world! Being a perfectionist, exams were always going to be a struggle- with paranoia kicking in the minute you found you lost a mark on an unofficial mark scheme- but I'm fairly happy, thankfully, with how they went overall. Saying this season has been stressful would be an understatement, but now I have a long summer- and that leads me onto my next point...

So, in short, now that I've finished my exams, there's a lot of content to expect from this blog! However, in this past year, there have been a lot of changes in my life- and this will be reflected in my content. As I think I've well and truly found my passion for education this past year, it's only fair to say there'll be a lot more study-related content- as well as lifestyle/travel, an interest that'll never fail to die! I appreciate this won't be to everybody's taste, so I'd like to say a massive thank you to everybody that has supported my blog so far- and as for those who will stick around, I hope you like the new content!
