Happy August lovelies! Let me have a blogger moment and say, gosh... has the year been flying past and over us or is it just me? Somehow, come a couple of months since my last Loving lately post, I've managed to rack up yet another set of favourites-well, there goes the spending ban! At least my poor commitment makes for a blog post- am I right? So, interested in what I've been loving lately and things you ought to try? Scroll down!

Surprisingly, there's not all that much for beauty this time round, and that's because I've been loving the "no-makeup" Makeup look- yes, I can confirm that it's still Gabija talking here! Though, it doesn't seem that this new love of mine has stopped the endless splurging- so here's what I've been loving lately in terms of beauty...
M A Y B E L L I N E D R E A M S A T I N L I Q U I D F O U N D A T I O N, £ 7 . 9 9 - Otherwise known as the foundation that revolutionised my makeup routine. With its non-drying and creamy formula, it doesn't make my skin look flakey or dead- instead glowing from within and always leaving me with the appearance of a good skin day. Not to mention, its medium coverage is perfect for the everyday- and it stays put! So, for all my dry skinned girls out there, do yourself a favour and swatch this in store!

£ 7 . 4 0 O N A M A Z O N - This highlighter? Stunning! I picked it up while in Lithuania, but thought nothing of it as it didn't seem to 'blinding' in comparison to my trusty Makeup Revolution Golden Lights highlighter- boy, I was wrong! This highlighter is a beautiful, universally-flattering silver-champagne shade and leaves a stunning natural glow upon first application, perfect for everyday wear- though it's also buildable if you want a heavier highlight. Overall, the formula, the price, the application- perfection!
M A K E U P R E V O L U T I O N U L T R A C R E A M C O N T O U R P A L E T T E, £ 8 . 0 0- I'll admit, I'm really not a fan of the top row- I find these lighter shades just emphasise texture under my eyes and can dry them out. However, the bottom row (contouring row) is what I live for- so much so that I've hit pan on three shades, and completely used the second one! I use them on top of my foundation and, once blended with a sponge, gives the most gorgeous contour- one that actually looks like a contour and emphasised cheekbone, not a brown line on my face! This has won my heart over and earns its place rightly in my favourites.

For books, again... there doesn't seem to be a lot- exams ate up most of my time these past few months, and I certainly haven't done as much reading as I'd have liked. However, I did manage to start and finish Meik Wiking's "The Little Book of Hygge" while in Portugal- and I bloody loved it! I'm sure you'll all have heard of this one by now as of the hype surrounding it, but all worthwhile; I found this read insightful, interesting, like one giant lifestyle post about how to live better- but best of all... it works! If you enjoy a light, illustrated read (and lifestyle blog posts)... I'm sure you'll love this one!

T R O U S E R S - For a while now, trousers have been a staple in my wardrobe- for me, I find they add a touch of sophistication to any outfit and can make it look as if you spent an entirety putting an outfit together (when it was, in fact, a five minute job)!
W E S T E R N S T Y L E B E L T - I've been meaning to buy one for over a year now, and when I saw this gem in Primark for only £3.00... I simply couldn't resist! Accessorising can take any outfit up a notch, and belts (for me) are the best way forward- along with my next favourite...
H O O P E A R R I N G S - Hoop earrings are a must for me- they're such an easy way to instantly upgrade a lacklustre outfit! I got mine from Topshop, but you can pretty much get them anywhere your heart desires!

I couldn't leave this one- not for anything! Now, all my favourites are in my summer playlist- which you can listen to here:
Aside from these, though, here are some more specific favourites:
Ctrl, SZA- This album has been playing non-stop in my room and out, with The Weekend undoubtedly being my favourite song! I would recommend listening to this if you're a fan along the lines of Kehlani, Mila J, perhaps Rihanna? Honestly, you can't go far wrong with this one!
Digital Druglord, Blackbear- By far one of the best album releases this year, in my opinion! I've loved Blackbear's music for a long, long while and this album was just another favourite to add to my list!
