SquintBox July 2016 Miniatures Subscription Box Review

SquintBox time! — I love this new miniatures subscription!

If you’re not aware, SquintBox is a subscription box that sends you a different selection of handcrafted miniatures every month. Each box will feature an assortment of up to 6 miniatures in a variety of different categories. Items will be 1/12th scale and can include tiny food, drinks, books, home decor, flowers, tools, accessories, and more. The pieces are ideal for crafting, collecting, display, or however you’d like to enjoy them.

Subscriptions are $29.95/month (with free US shipping), or less with multi-month commitments.

Let’s see what’s in the July 2016 SquintBox!

Once again, everything was shipped in a small brown box via First Class Mail.

A peek inside. — A little note on top stated that if there was a blue sticker on the reverse side, you’d win a free item in your next month’s box. (No blue sticker for me.)

The actual SquintBox was nicely packaged and tied with a dark blue ribbon.

All of the items were separated and packaged into 3 different matchbook-sized paper packets.

A small info booklet listed all of the items inside July’s “Summer Lovin’” themed box, along with photos and a brief description for each one. (Sorry, I somehow forgot to snap a photo of the inside of the booklet. )

Starbucks Drink – The tiniest fancy coffee drink EVER! (But I bet they’d still charge $3 for it. Ha!) This is absolutely adorable and you’d swear that was legit whipped cream in there. The only thing missing is someone’s misspelled name scrawled on the side.

Tray of Seashells – A pale pink pottery tray filled with actual (teeny tiny) seashells! — Don’t worry, they’re glued in place so you needn’t be concerned about them tumbling out/getting lost/being eaten by your cat.

Tissue Box – If a mini seashell should come loose and get lost, these mini tissues can help wipe away your tears.

Candy Jar – Candy!! A real glass apothecary jar is filled will (not so real) mini gumballs. I remember my mom having something like this in her dollhouse when I was little and it was one of my favorite things to look at — or play with carefully.

Travel & Leisure Magazine – While last month’s box featured a retro magazine, July’s was a more current issue of Travel & Leisure. FYI: It looks a LOT less pixelated in person than it does in my photos.

Pot of Apples – An itty bitty pink clay pot complete with three equally itty bitty apples. I think this is my favorite item this month because I love apples and anything remotely autumn-y.

Another awesome collection of miniatures from SquintBox! I loved every single item and almost wish my mom wasn’t into miniatures so I could justify keeping them for myself.

What do the stars mean?

= Crummy ★★ = Just Okay ★★★ = Good ★★★★ = Awesome ★★★★★ = Extraordinarily Awesome
