Chococurb July 2016 Nano Box Review

Chococurb has recently announced a brand new subscription option — Chococurb Nano!

If you’re new to them, Chococurb is a monthly subscription that hand selects 5 to 7 treats from the top chocolatiers in the world to be included in each box. The folks at Chococurb believe that Chocolate is more than just food – it’s an experience to be enjoyed and shared. That’s why they only include the finest treats, made by the best brands. When you sign up, you’ll get to fill out a taste profile in order to receive the chocolates you’re most likely to enjoy. (Note: Nano subscriptions are not personalized.) They also have a shop on their site, so if you discover a new chocolate you’d like more of, you can buy it right from there.

Subscriptions are $35/month for the standard box (5-7 full size items), $20/month for the Mini (3 full size items), and $10/month for the Nano (5 small to medium sized items). Discounts are available on multi-month plans.

Let’s see what’s in my July 2016 Chococurb Nano box!

Everything was shipped in a big styrofoam chest with an ice pack to help keep the chocolate from melting in transit.

The actual chocolates were all tucked inside of a blue paper pouch…

…and wrapped in bright pink tissue paper.

The chocolates!

Menakao Milk Chocolate Madagascan Vanilla Bar – After looking this up in the Chococurb shop, I was a little bummed to see that all of the other Menakao bars they sell look to be vegan-friendly… except this one. Ah well, my mom will enjoy it. Described on the label as “fudgy & light”, this bar features 44% cocoa beans, Madagascan vanilla, whole milk powder, and other natural ingredients.

Dolfin Chocolat Noir Poivre Rose – An intriguing dark chocolate bar square that’s made with (among other things) a blend of 60% cocoa solids and a sprinkling of pink peppercorns. — I was happy to see that this lil’ guy is vegan friendly.

Ethereal Confections Chocolate – I might have eaten this as I was taking photos and misplaced the label, so I’m not totally sure what the actual name/variety of this chocolate is. I do know that it was dark chocolate and clearly vegan-friendly as well. (Yay!)

TCHO Mokaccino – Creamy milk chocolate infused with freshly roasted Blue Bottle coffee. My mom is a huge fan of this bar and she’ll be happy to devour this little morsel of yumminess.

Seattle Chocolates Birthday Cake Batter – Cake batter meets chocolate truffle. Colorful confetti pieces are mixed into the milk chocolate that surround this truffle flavored like vanilla frosted yellow cake. — That sounds amazing and I SO wish they made a vegan version!

Chococurb Nano is the perfect subscription for chocolate lovers who’re not quite ready to splurge for the full-sized Chococurb box. It included a nice sampling of treats at a price that just about anyone can afford.

What do the stars mean?
