Basic Man is a clothing subscription that delivers a new set of Basic essentials right to your door on a monthly basis.
Each shipment will include 3 items — a high quality t-shirt, a pair of performance boxer briefs, and socks (calf-length, ankle, or no-show). All Basic Man products (and even the packaging) are made from sustainable fabrics and materials, including recycled water bottles. Plus, they each have an indicator that says “recycle when this fades” so you’ll always know when it’s time to replace each piece. Size options range from S to 2XL.

Everything was shipped in a black poly mailer bag with the Basic Man logo in white & blue.
The contents! — This month’s package featured a basic tee, boxer briefs, and no show socks.
Oxford Tan Cotton Crew Shirt
June’s crew neck t-shirt featured an earthy/neutral shade of tan/beige. As always, it consists of a 60% combed cotton/40% recycled polyester blend that makes it perfect as both an undershirt and everyday tee. Its tag-less heat transfer label slowly fades each time its laundered to let you know when it’s time to be replaced/recycled.
Columbia Performance Boxer Brief
Is it weird to refer to a pair of boxer’s color as “pretty”? Cos I just did. Not sure my husband would agree, but I stand by my opinion. 😉 As pointed out in previous reviews, typical boxer-briefs made from cotton or polyester tend to attract bacteria, don’t absorb sweat well, and tend to get pretty stinky. To combat those issues, Basic Man uses bamboo viscose fabric with spandex for cool comfort and stretch — and less funk. Their boxers also include 92% REPREVE® recycled polyester in 2 mesh zones for stay-dry comfort and extra breathability. Like the t-shirt above, these also feature a fading label that lets you know when it’s time to swap them out for a fresh pair.
Oxford Athletic Runner No Show Socks
These “no show” socks are ideal for warmer summer months when less is more as far as clothing is concerned. Their white and gray color scheme makes them super versatile and they feature a compression arch support & hand-linked toe for added comfort. They sit below the ankle and are constructed of an 80% combed cotton, 12% REPREVE® recycled polyester, 5% polyester, and 3% spandex blend.
