ZenTeaBar June 2017 Subscription Box Review

ZenTeaBar is a new Subscription Box that sends you a monthly sampling of different tea brands from around the world.

Each box will include 4 samples of various teas (enough to make 12+ cups), along with occasional tea-related surprises such as accessories, sweets, and other goodies. The ZenTeaBar family has a love for nature and our connection to it. Their mission is to allow subscribers “to zen-fully experience teas they love in the most comfortable, elegant way possible”.

Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.

Subscriptions are just $10/month with free US shipping (or $110 with an annual plan).

Let’s see what’s in the June 2017 ZenTeaBar box!

Everything was shipped in a small brown box via first class mail.

A peek inside!

An info card listed all of the teas included in the box, along with descriptions and retail values for each one. All of the teas were categorized under a different season, which was pretty neat.

Citrus Green by Adagio Teas

I LOVE green tea — especially citrus-y varieties — so I was happy to see this as the featured “Summer” tea. It’s composed of premium Chinese green tea, along with the flavors of lemon and lime. It can be enjoyed both hot or over ice. I’m usually not a fan of iced tea, but with the recent heat & humidity we’ve been having, I just may need to start embracing it.

Pumpkin Spice Chai by Art of Tea

The “Fall” selection couldn’t have been more… fall-ish — Pumpkin Spice Chai! It’s a seasonal tea that’s only available during the autumn months and contains a blend of organic black tea, organic cinnamon, organic clove, and natural & artificial flavors. The info card suggests trying it with steeped milk and enjoying it alongside snickerdoodle cookies. Yum!

Chocolate Pu⋅erh by Numi Organic Tea

Winter’s pick was a decadent dessert-like tea featuring organic black pu⋅erh tea, cocoa powder, vanilla beans, rooibos, cinnamon, orange peel, and nutmeg. Numi teas are all organic, vegan-friendly, and non-GMO.

Machu Peach-u by Tea Source

Mmm… This one smells SO good! Spring’s selection was “Machu Peach-u”, a fruity blend of white tea, freeze dried peaches, peach flavor, and calendula petals. Like the Summer selection, this can also be enjoyed either hot or iced.

Drawstring Tea Filters

A small envelope containing a sampling of Drawstring Tea Filters was also included, along with instructions for properly filling/steeping them.

A giant “tea bag” bag held even more goodies…

Inside were zen affirmations, tea steeping times, a latte recipe, and more.

Finally, there was a small bamboo teaspoon to help measure out your loose leaf teas.

I was really impressed with my first ZenTeaBar box experience. There was a nice selection of teas, and I loved how they categorized each one into a different season. The printed info/materials and bonus tea filters & bamboo spoon were nice additions too! Certainly a worthwhile subscription to pick up — especially at just $10/month.
