“Diwali,” the Festival of lights is also called Deepavali and Diwali, is an important festival in India that is mainly celebrated by the Hindus. 6. On the same night that Diwali is celebrated, Jain’s celebrate a festival of lights to mark the attainment of moksha by Mahavira.
7. Oil and light lights are utilized as a part of high numbers in and around people groups homes and properties to praise the celebration. The celebration recognizes the lighting that was done to bring Lord Rama and his significant other Sita from the backwoods of Ayodhya.


8. Hindus everywhere throughout the world and particularly in India commend the celebration by trading blessings, wearing new garments and prepare special meals.


9. Idols of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi are placed side by side for the prayers and rituals. Lord Ganesh is worshiped first followed by Lord Lakshmi.


10. Rangoli is paces in front of homes to attract Goddess Lakshmi.


11. Diwali also plays a significant role in Sikhism. The foundation stone of the Golden Temple was laid on the day of Diwali in 1577.
