Today I learned that Father Clarence Cerwonka passed from this world into the glorious arms of Jesus. Father Clarence performed the Sacrament of marriage for both Mark and Renee and Jenn and Jose. He baptized some of my grandchildren, Kal and Ethan, and I remember when he baptized Joey he held him over his head and walked up and down the aisles of St Mary’s welcoming him as a child of God. He lead healing masses and prayed with me when Michael was born with his heart condition. He was unique in so many ways. Father Clarence spent his last years at Most Holy Rosary in Maine and he was so loved that when he was no longer able to serve mass the community insisted he live there and they took care of him with love and respect. Father was a true example of Jesus and his life touched so many. I love you Father Clarence, thank you so much for blessing my life. Go in Peace oh good and faithful seventh. Donna Silvanic said

“Father Clarence Cerwonka passed away today. Since 2019 and into Covid, I have had the pleasure of calling him my first boss as I worked as videographer and organist for Most Holy Rosary in that spring/summer. I have always come back to visit him as best I can when I was available. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and the contagious smile and personality he had. From countless Oktoberfests to timeless quotes, there was something different. One of my favorites being “I love you, and there’s nothing you can do about it!” a facebook post said.
