David’s encouragement through the years and what a great impact his life had on so many other people’s lives.David always strived to build others up, and was well know for addressing co-workers as a “Virginia Gentleman” in the VSP, which has always been traditionally regarded as the greatest of compliments.

“Retired Trooper-Pilot David Nichols was one of the finest gentleman I have ever known. David was highly motivated, truly dedicated, and always a source of encouragement and affirmation. When I heard early this morning that he had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday, I immediately thought of his family, so I prayed for them. After a few minutes, I begin to think about all of David’s encouragement through the years and what a great impact his life had on so many other people’s lives. We should all strive to be known for what we “built up,” rather than what we “tore down,” and this is certainly how David Nichols lived his life on this earth. David always strived to build others up, and was well know for addressing co-workers as a “Virginia Gentleman” in the VSP, which has always been traditionally regarded as the greatest of compliments.
