Duran Barlow And Molly Barlow Obituary; Residents Of Fort Dodge IA Passes Away After Shooting On 140th Street, Webster County IA

Duran Barlow, a citizen of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Molly Barlow have both unexpectedly departed away. Officers from Webster County were called to a distant property at 2101 140th Street in rural Webster County at seven forty minutes past seven o’clock on Sunday night.

A young person who was on the phone stated that there were two victims who had been shot there. The perpetrator had fled the scene on foot.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies, who responded minutes after receiving the call. When the officers entered the property, they found the bodies of two ladies who had been shot.

The victims were discovered laying in the home’s garage area. Following the event, the deputies immediately attempted to provide both victims with life-saving medical care until the paramedics arrived.

Webster County Sheriff Luke Fleener said that the attempts to save the lives of the two victims were sadly futile and that they were pronounced dead at the site.

The surrounding area was searched by responding deputies and officers from the Fort Dodge Police Department. When the authorities got there, they found a man who appeared to have shot himself in the heart.

To find out what had happened, detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division were sent to the scene to look over all of the evidence and conduct interviews to obtain information. Sheriff Fleener has stated that the public is not in risk at this time because the inquiry is still underway.

The deceased have been identified as 39-year-old Molly R. Barlow, 63-year-old Phyllis J. Versteeg, and 41-year-old Duran Michael Barlow.

The Fort Dodge Police Department, the Iowa State Patrol, the Fire Departments of Fort Dodge, Badger, and Clare, as well as the Webster County Attorney’s and Medical Examiner’s offices, provided support to the Webster County Sheriff’s Office throughout the event. These departments were all involved in law enforcement.
